Description
This single malt Scotch whisky from Campbeltown has been allowed to age for 25 years, having first been matured in refill bourbon casks, before being reracked into first-fill bourbon casks, and then finally finished in a single first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead. Nose: Rich dried fruit and citrus peel, sweet thick toffee balanced with bracing ocean sea spray and fresh vanilla. Palate: Velvet mouthfeel with layers of melted brown sugar and golden caramel, baked apple, and poached pear in vanilla syrup with orange citrus notes. Finish: Long maritime finish with sea salt and waves of warming cinnamon and nutmeg spice
