Description
This is an interesting release from the Edradour distillery up in the Highlands – they’ve blended a Sherry cask for their unpeated single malt with 3 bourbon casks of their peated malt (which is presented under the name Ballechin)! Boasts a beautiful balance of smoky and sweet notes. Nose: Chilli chocolate, dried fruit and a light whiff of earthy smoke. Palate: Charred barley (slightly meaty at points) followed by honeycomb and red wine. Finish: Lingering Christmas spices.
